Clear mapping, easy to navigate and being ring bound helps the use when in the car. Great to have a Sat Nav (which I have) but theres something about a map that electronics cannot replace. well thats my opinion :-)

Although I have not used these maps practically yet they have certainly helped with the planning of my trip through Belgium, Germany France and Austria. They also offer practical advice on what is required to be taken along in the way of documentation and accessories.
An easy to follow Europe map

This map has just got me from the UK to the middle of Poland. It's very clear, easy to follow, is a good size for holding on your lap while in the car and the ring binding makes it easy to turn pages without risk of ripping the pages.
Before buying I compared it to Collins and a few other maps and found this to be the easiest to view at a glance. I'd recommend it thoroughly, but just ask that the next edition feature more in-depth city plans.

Nice chunky well bound Atlas, however the central spine prevents you from seeing the complete road directions, as there is obviously a large gap between pages.
