The best thing about this map is that it is virtually indestructable. I spilt water on it twice, folded it all sorts of ways and put it my bag any old how, and still it sprang back to life and folded properly again and looks as good as new after a weeks use. It has all the information you need for a trip to Rome, taking in all the sights.

We arrived in Rome in a downpour and had to use the map to find our hotel in torrential rain. At the hotel, a quick wipe with a tissue and we were off again around the City. After a week's use the map was as good as the day we bought it. In future trips, I will make sure a Rough Guide map is the first purchase. The plastic coating is a brilliant idea and it folds small enough to fit in a pocket. Essential for the city traveller.

Did all I asked for - clear layout, easy to read, durable so could be folded repeatedly and popped in the pocket. Bonus was having the bus routes marked so you could hop on and hop off where you liked.

Saw the other reviews for this map before I bought it and agree completely with the good things said about it. We were two weeks in Rome (thanks to the Icelandic ash cloud) and I carried this map everywhere. It still looks great without a single rip. I found the bus numbers written next to roads incredibly useful in working out which ones to catch. Watch out for tram number 3 that doesn't seem to run any more though! I only used the main map side, so can't comment on any of the other 'useful stuff' on the back. If you're going to Rome, buy this. You won't be disappointed.

A light, strong and wateresistent map, with a clear layout. I prefer key maps to those split-up in pocketbooks, or rather, It's easier to overlook a city when you support the guidebooks with a map of this sort. Indispensable to tourists.
